Restore and upgrade an existing low-voltage lighting system.

Overview

Professional outdoor lighting repair in Orange County

Salt air, weather, and time take their toll on outdoor lighting. We diagnose failed fixtures, corroded connections, and transformer issues, then repair or upgrade your system so your landscape shines again — often for far less than a full replacement.

When part of a low-voltage system goes dark, the cause is usually a failed fixture, a corroded connection, a tripped or undersized transformer, or a timer that has lost its settings. Rather than rip everything out, we diagnose the actual fault and repair or upgrade just what needs it — often restoring the whole system for a fraction of a replacement.

Common problems we fix

Corroded fixtures and connectors from coastal salt air, water-damaged sockets, cut or pinched cable, failed transformers and timers, and dim runs caused by voltage drop on an undersized system. We also retrofit older halogen fixtures to long-life LED, which cuts energy use and heat.

Repair or replace?

Quality brass and copper fixtures are usually worth repairing; corroded budget aluminum fixtures are often cheaper to replace with fixtures that will actually last. We will tell you honestly which path makes sense and make sure the transformer is sized correctly so the problem does not return.

FAQ

Outdoor Lighting Repair: common questions

Why did my landscape lights stop working?

The most common causes are a failed transformer or timer, corroded connections, a damaged cable, or burned-out fixtures. We test the system end to end to find the real fault rather than guessing — often the fix is targeted and inexpensive.

Can you repair corroded fixtures or do they need replacing?

It depends on the fixture. Solid brass and copper fixtures usually clean up and keep working; corroded aluminum or plastic fixtures are typically better replaced with corrosion-resistant ones that hold up to the coastal climate.

Can you upgrade my old halogen system to LED?

Yes. We retrofit existing low-voltage systems to LED, which dramatically lowers energy use and heat and extends fixture life — often without replacing the wiring or transformer.
